GETTING AND SUSTAINING STAKEHOLDER BUY-IN FOR KM/KO PROJECTS
Getting buy-in from senior stakeholders and from people on the ground, was one of the major topics for discussion in the Knowledge Organization Clinic we conducted at the IKO Conference last year. It was also a hot topic at the knowledge cafe discussion at KM World in Washington, DC in November 2015. Getting buy-in is not enough, once acquired it must also be sustained. In our May session, led by three very experienced KM practitioners in the commercial, government and NGO sectors, we will hear about how effective buy-in can be acquired and maintained in the different stakeholder groups that matter in a KM/KO implementation. The session will be in "Fishbowl" format with an initial facilitated discussion among our expert panellists followed by Q&A and discussion with the audience. Bring your own buy-in issues and challenges, and get insight and advice you can use!
