site visit to THE URBAN REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY'S DIGITAL PLANNING LAB
The Urban Redevelopment Authority's (URA's) Digital Planning Lab (DPLab) was set up in 2013 to lead URA’s digitalisation efforts. It was URA’s first department with a combination of planners and systems analysts from different academic backgrounds and professional expertise. The working culture of this department is one that is collaborative in nature, where staff trained in various disciplines work together to identify innovative opportunities and achieve a collective solution. The design of this work place needs to be both high-tech and human-centric. The teams in DPLab work with various planning groups, to build new analytics methods and digital planning tools. DPLab also conducts training courses and talks, to raise our officer’s awareness of data, analytics, technology and new development of tools; and to also spark conversations and innovation. Join us on this site visit to find out more about how the DPLab drives digital transformation and innovation in the URA, and to see for yourself how the design of a workspace can enhance knowledge sharing, knowledge creation and collaborative solution finding.
